OK, Friday I let the Corvette down to get it ready to go this weekend. It hesitated and coughed a bit when I tried to start it....like the battery was weak or down. So I got my meter out and checked it 13.8 volts.... I looked closer at the ground cable and it's got some corrosion all over it. So I take off that terminal and clean it all up. Put it back on and she kicks right over.....but. when I opened the doors, the windows didn't close automatically. No big deal, I cycled them to relearn. Work fine.... reset the radio with all the little gadgets. Don't think anymore about it.

We leave and go to father in laws' house for a visit. and I find that I have to hit the hatch release button three times before it will open. Doesn't matter if we are talking the inside button (on lower knee panel) or the outside button (back by the license plate). Also the hatch doesn't close as easy as it did before. I know that this just started with the battery disconnected. Where is the setting which allows me to change this? Pretty frustrating to have to hit the button three times to open the hatch.

I have no idea Tom. Just a hint, the next time you need to clean or install a new battery, if you have another vehicle and some jumper cables, just connect the cables before you take the cables off the battery. Then the other battery keeps power to all the computers. Nothing to reset.

Just wasn't thinking when I pulled the cable off to clean it. After researching things, I'm thinking a PO installed a "Window Valet", as when I hit the remote button twice in rapid sequence, both windows go down all the way. I didn't see anything in the owners manual that said anything about an option that does that. Now I'm wondering, if that is the case, if that has something to do with the hatch......
