Autoweek's C7/C8 article

Autoweek's website has a story on the direction the Corvette C7 and C8 are going. It's a short read but what I found most interesting is the 'reader' commentary below the article. Check out:

Corvette Central: Revamped C7, radical mid-engined C8 in GM's plans

I found the one from JonnyMiata interesting:

"I wonder what the Viagra Racing Team will think about this. I mean really, the only people that buy these cars are old guys. I would love to have a Vette but I would feel weird driving one since I don't have my AARP card yet."

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Tick Tock, ...

Is he referring to me ?:mad

The guy/gal has a screen name of JonnyMiata. :boogie
What else would you expect him to say.

This is all fun and surely generates fresh news to stimulate Corvette and Chev sales, but given that 1) historically any new Corvette details are more closely held than nuclear missile secrets, and 2) car peeps and especially Corvette marque enthusiasts rarely have NO opinion on anything, especially Corvette owners :), it is all fun and interesting; little more and surely not hard news.

Let the wanna-be's want and complain about this or that , I say. The guys I like to hang with share the passion for special cars, regardless of origin or 'weird' personal taste of the other's. :w

I would love to see GM do something rad to the corvette! It's about time!Make the world stand up and say-wow, thats a corvette?:thumb

idc how fast a turbo-charged v6 can go, you can't get a v8 sound out of it... my 75 gets more looks and comments than any of my friends' v6's, which are faster, and the 75 was the worst performance... when the day comes that I have to ask "is that a 6 or an 8" then I'm gonna be truly depressed
