Chevrolet gave birth to the first Corvette back in 1953. It was a convertible. Now, we have the seventh generation 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. The C1 was a fiberglass-bodied sports car created for the open-air crowd. Well, it was at least sporty looking for its time. However, in today’s sports car arena, it would probably be laughed at – not for it’s styling mind you, but for its performance potential or lack thereof. That first example of the Corvette was powered by an inline Stovebolt “Blue Flame” six-cylinder engine that mated to a cast-iron, three-speed Powerglide (not-so lovingly dubbed ‘Powerslide’) automatic transmission that metered the driving force to the rear wheels. It was a two-seat roadster with a cloth convertible top and an optional, removable hardtop that came later. The bow-tie team has continued to evolve the Corvette into a true sports car to be reckoned with. The first Stingray appeared as a 1963 model. The latest iteration, or seventh generation C7 version – the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible and Coupe are living proof of the iconic car’s magical evolution.

Interesting commentary - at 2:15... "front looks like a Viper, side looks like a Nissan GTR, rear looks like a camaro". Well, I suppose there's not much wrong with one Chevy looking like another Chevy, although ya wouldn't want too much of that, but I was right about the Viper-like frown face, pretty obvious.
At 6 minutes... what's with the Harley comments?! G'damn, a Harley ridin' bro can't catch a break no kinda way!! The Vette has that 'loud-on-demand' exhaust too. I guess the whole Harley thing really got ahead of itself. I'm not into it at all but I still like the bike itself, nothing's gonna change that.

Overall, another stellar review on THE American sport car. I like the way the guy's laughin' all the time. Next up: North American Car of the Year and the Z-06... yeah!! :beer

I think he did a good job on the review. Having only had my C7 convertible a few days, there isn't much that I can add. I will say that it will take a few days of driving to get used to all the different settings for the instruments. No problems, just a lot going on. The electric steering is very nice and the auto tranny is also. Having had the Carlisle Blue 12 convertible and the 13 427 Convertible, I can tell you that not having to unlatch the top to put it down is much better.
