Ricer

Yep, happens all the time. I just smile and ignore them. No sense in attracting attention from the boys in blue. :cool

  1. O.J. did it.
  2. Pictured below is what defines a "ricer".

I think you are missing that big ugly paint job that looks like somebody threw a gallon bucket of paint at it then barfed in it before it dried.

Curtis - good point. How about this:

Now that's what I'm talking about... Pure ugliness in all it's glory. Looks like this guy was following the highway paint striper made too many lane changes. :puke

Nothing to do with stability. The big german manufacturers decided to impose a top speed all unto themselfes. The cars (MB, BMW and VW/Audi) run quite nicely above that too. Only Porsche isnt limited at 155, they do go higher. And it's 155 as that translates to 250 km/h, nice round number.. :)

Btw, their internal tuning companies always go around their self imposed cutoff (see AMG for MB).. ;)

I guess I was basing my information on my own experiences with Honda's. I used to own a (new at the time ) 83 Prelude when I was younger. When I got it over 100 any slight cross wind would start to make the vehicle float to one side of the road or the other. The Prelude of that era was wedge shaped and certainly more aerodynamic than some of the newer cars. The problem was the height of the chassis allowed too much air under it and allowed lift.

By the way it was while I was following an early 70's muscle car that I realized what the word muscle ment when he down shifted into 3rd and left me in his dust (we were doing 100 before he downshifted). Of course, I couldn't keep up with him with only 104 horsepower. :cool
