has anyone put a richmond six speed in there c3 lately?
I have been thinking about it. Is there any modification involved? Will the stock T-10 bellhousing work, and will the original driveshaft fit? I have not looked up the specs yet on the 6 speed to see if it was longer or wider
thanx

Don't forget to look at the gear ratio's!
If I remember correctly the 1:1 is normally the 4th gear but the Richmond has it in 5th. This means you only have one overdrive gear and an extra gear between 1st and 5th.

Groeten Peter.

1:1 is not overdriven, it's a direct drive ratio.

The ratios are OK. The 6 speed has an overdirve gear that is the 6th gear, the 5th gear is the 1:1 drive gear, but it has an extra low gear (1st gear)
the 6 speed is a combination of the 4 speed with the extra low gear you get with the 5 speed plus an additional gear (6th gear) overdrive.

basically i just want to find out if the length is all the same so i don't have any trouble with drive lines. I have not gotten onto the richmond site yet to check out the dimensions. I'll do that here in a minute. But any other helpful info is awesome guys. thanx
