Right hand mirror install

Has anyone installed the right hand mirror on their car? And if so, did the mounting kit use the rubber wellnuts. I got the kit from Corvette Central
and it came with the rubber wellnuts. Im wondering if those are strong enough to hold the mirror to the door.

Been there, done that. The well nuts are used to hold the luggage racks on. You'll be fine.

The well nuts hold that sucker very tight. It's important though, to tighten the screws that connect the mirror base to the well nuts/door. If you don't, you'll be able to move the whole unit slightly, and you don't waat that. just keep tightening the nuts until you have a solid hold. Oh, and don't, whatever you do, use too large a drill bit to drill the holes in the door.

You guys were correct. Installed the mirror with the wellnuts, and it is so tight, I think the door would break before the mirror would come off. Thanks.

Well-nuts hold the driver's side mirror on also.
