Hi, I'm having trouble identifing my Rochester Carb model 07081282. I have visited a few sites and I am having trouble finding where it came from.

Also, I want to rebuild this carb, it is still in working condition its just old. So I was going to take it apart replace the gaskets and give it a paint job with the zinc colored carb paint from Eastwood.

Is there an online store that ships to Canada that sells the rebuild kits? Im going to replace the float also.

Thanks
Mike

Ok, I think I found it 5.0Liter from an impala, malibu, etc. 1981 M4MC-M4ME. Is this thing worth rebuilding. Will it provide enough cfm for my 350 with edelbrock intake and new edelbrock heads? Getting a new carb is not rally an option as of right now. If I wanted to get one what would be the proper size model I should get?

Mike

The only significant difference betwen that QuadraJet and your's would be the secondary A/V stop. The B-Car model would have a secondary stop that limits the secondary AV opening, wheras your original QuadraJet should not have this limiter. That's an easy fix.

I don't see any listing for 07081282

I found:
17081282
4BBL
1981
305 CID
Malibu, Pass
Auto
WO/AC, Canada

How do you fix that?

Thats what I found and that must be what it is. I picked up a rebuild kit for it today and everything looks good as far as fit.
