"Rock Crusher" (M22) Transmission

Stallion,

I was in the same situation as you. I had wanted to be in Coast guard since I was young. I applied....got turned down. so now I'm going to college. Hopefully, getting my bachelors, going the commissioned officer route (marines not coasties) and then letting the government pay for my masters and PHD in psychology.

good luck! with whatever you decide.

Hey, guys!! Today in the mail I received my acceptance to the Naval Academy Summer Seminar. For those reading who don't know what it is, it is at the end of your junior year (early june) and you spend a week at the Naval Academy. It is for the candidates (me) to see if I like the Academy, but it also really helps in admission to the Naval Academy in which I'll be applying to next year.

I'm happy I got in to NASS. This is what I've been waiting for for a couple of months. :)

Culprit, did you go to NASS before you went to the Academy?

Thanks, Dave!! :D I appreciate it and I'm looking forward to that week. :) Can't wait!!!! ;)

Congrats...

That's good news Stallion.

No, I didn't even know the program existed when I was going through the application process. Sounds like you're on top of the ball game.

Thanks for sharing the good news.

Since we have strayed into the clutch topic...

A buddy has been driving my 95 4WD F*&$ Ranger a couple times a month since I've been deployed to keep it's juices flowing. The clutch was getting really bad shortly before I left but I didn't have time to mess with it. Well, it finally went.

He took it to the shop I trust (I know the owners and have helped them put in some hardwood floors etc - I can trust them) and they quoted $821!!! Clutch, cylinder, shim, sleeve - the whole thing was pretty much toast (his e-mail didn't mention anything about the bearing). 140,000 plus miles on the original hardware. The hydraulic clutch system on a 4WD Ranger is a royal pain to mess with.

I REALLY need to buy that C3 as soon as I get home so I can use it as my daily driver while the F*$% is up on jackstands!! Too bad I'm not home right now to do it myself and save half the bill.

There goes a chunk of the C3 savings...
