I have front power seats that move when starting and stopping. The dealer fix is to replace the whole assembly($800ea.). I was wondering if there is a after market fix for the plastic clevis that wear out? Thanks

No, it is a threaded metal block surrounded by rubber isolaters, all inside an aluminum block. The rubber isolators wear down and cause the slack. Most people that fix it replace the rubber isolators with flat washers that are ground square. This takes all the play out and doesn't wear out again. Be careful doing it, getting the tracks back on and aligned correctly can be difficult.DarkShark78 said:So, its a threaded plastic square inside a metal fitting, and the threads wear off? If thats the case, won't it fail eventually anyways?
I have a problem with mine sliiping a little during hard braking, so a good repair would be helpful.
