What's the opinion of the Z06 stock shocks for a 1998? Is this a good upgrade or should I go after market? I have 95,000 miles and am pretty sure it has the original shocks.

Not sure on upgrade for shocks at all I would say personal preference may be the determining factor in my mind. Are you talking shocks or strut's? While others may chime in I did want to welcome you to the group
