Roller Lifters

Ok I did a search and I couldn't find anything about this, so I am making this post. When did the roller lifters come out- 85 or 86? I know the Camaro/Firebird had them around the same time, but I thought the Corvette might of had them before the F-bodies. Anyway,all I want to know is what was the first year for the roller lifters. Thanks

I believe it was actually 1987. Aluminum heads came out late 1986, and roller lifters for 1987. My 1987 'vette had them.

Thanks guys. Again, is the best source for everything! Well that changes what Corvette I want. Rollers seem better than the flat tappets in my book.

Yes, 1987 was the year for roller lifters, then 1988 was the year for the 113 heads.

I also believe they sell a retro-fit set of roller lifters for pre-'87 cars. Last I checked, they were around the $400 neighborhood!

113 heads can be had for very good prices.
