I'm throwing around the idea of getting roller rockers. My car is stock except for a throttle body spacer and a performance chip. What would the pros and cons be of going to a 1.6 roller rocker?

Roller rockers are definitely an upgrade over the stamped rockers. The 1.6 roller rockers will give you less friction and more lift, therefore, a few more HP.

Also, keep in mind that 20 year old stamping technology wasn't that great. With today's technology, a 1.6 or 1.5 is really a 1.6 or 1.5. How accurate are 1.5's from 20 years ago? With the advanced machine work today, it's definitely much better than it was.

May as well spend an extra $100 and change out those pushrods if they're as old as the car.

and definetly valve springs too

great idea roller rockers, but what about a new CAM and lifters while your at it!!

I would do the pushrods at the same time as the rockers, but the springs should be fine, these motors don't see the high RPM's so there is no valve float or at least very little chance of it.
