I couild have sworn I saw a thread recently about C6 roofs making a lot of noise. Mine just started today. It was like a switch was thrown in the car. On the drive to work no noise, then I go out for lunch and it creaks and pops every time I change direction or acceleration. Is there a resolution for this? I love my 'Vette, but the damn noise is unacceptable from a 50K+ car.

Did you find the one with the "E" clip solution. That one seems to correct the issue. Mine has only done it once and removing and reinstalling the top made the problem go away. If it comes back I will try the "E" clips.

Yup, that is the one I found. I installed the "E" clip a couple days ago. I've driven 600+ miles since then, not a sound. :)

What are E Clips ???
I took mine to the dealer last year, they only stopped the popping by half.

I'm looking for a new solution to the snap crackle pop.

Mine does the same thing.. It just started one day and it only does it when I first get in the car. Once I start driving it stops. I'm guessing I will have to look in to the c-clip fix.

THERE'S a TSB out on it ,and, the E CLIPS are 1.29 at LOEWES and slip in there to stop the noise.

During the Birthday Bash at the NCM last month, the GM Corvette people were replacing roof latches on every coupe that came in to complain. Tadge said they increased the 'pre-load' on the new latches. I told him about the 'E' clip solution and he acknowledged that the clip would probably provide the additional pre-load needed.

I put "E" clips on my '06 coupe earlier this year - no more pops or creaks.

So, you can probably take it to the dealer and hope they follow the TSB or install a couple of "E" clips yourself. For the price and the time, I'm glad I did the "E" clip solution.
