Damn,

I ordered the 2.5 inch magnaflow system from corvette central.
it shows up today.
3 total boxes
one box is open and one of the pipes look like it was whacked across a table.

at first i thought it was a clearance dent but then i noticed a crease in the metal.

also this was the part that connects to the manifolds.
there was no doughnuts, gaskets, hangers, clamps anything.

i know people here have bought this system from them before.
should i have received any of those accessories.

thanks

dumb question but did you receive a packing slip? you should get 3 boxes, 1 has pipes ,1 has mufflers, 1 has center hanger bracket. you will reuse your existing hangers, donut, heat riser. i do have this system and i love it, went together easily, perfect muscle car sound.......see ya,,,mike

you know,,,,after i replied to your post, i realized you didn't mention year of the car. if your car is an earlier C3 you may not have recieved the center hanger bracket.

72 BB

one box had the mufflers and two clamps
one box had the intermediate pipes
the busted box had the forward pipes that connect to the manifolds

thats it
no doughnuts huh,
i talked to corvette central on the phone before i ordered and the tech told me that it came with hangers, doughnuts gaskets. he said it was everything you needed from the manifold to the tips. (so i ordered new tips too)

doughnuts, hangers, and clamps are cheap at autozone, but it would have been nice to get everything undamaged.

sounds like the tech might have been a newbie. i have had nothing but good luck with Corvette Central. sorry for your troubles.:beer

yeah maybe new
doesnt really matter about clamps and such i mean 10 bucks at the local auto store will correct it.

i just wish that the pipe wasnt damaged.
i could already be knee deep into an exhaust intall this weekend.

its a good thing i was home or they would have just left it.
would it have hurt anything? probably not but i am a stickler for stuff like that.

oh well there is still that new power steering pump and tranny to finish

yeah funny story
i call CC and they start a damaged claim today.

i get home from work and there is a familiar box at my doorstep.

this time the box is retaped (not the corvette central labeled tape)

i cut it open and inside is the pipes, rewrapped, and lo and behold donughts, clamps, and donougt gaskets are inside this time.

i called corvette central and asked them if they shipped it immediatly and they said that they hadnt even processed it yet and then confirmed all the parts that were in the box.

the only thing i can think of is that whoever at UPS cut the box open and dropped out the parts put them back in and redelivered.

as far as the ding goes.
i am just going to live with it.
its not that bad and chances are the first speed bump i hit too hard will do more
