I just bought a 93 ruby. It runs great, gets around 26mph hwy so far but has a slight miss at idle, it's not very noticable unless you drive it all the time and sometimes it takes 3-4 seconds for it to start and then sometimes everything is fine. It's got 68500 on it. What do ya'll (southern) think, opti, tune up or?? Thanks!

Sounds almost similar to a mass airflow sensor problem. Disconnect the mass air flow if the car runs fine then you have found the culprit. If the car hesitates and stumbles you have eliminated one possible issue. If that doesn't work you might start pulling spark plugs and see if one of them is bad. Also double check the plug wires to make sure the inner core is not exposed. The plugs sometimes can lay against the exhaust causing the protective layer to melt. After you check those things, post if you found a solution or at least eliminate some possible culprits.

Good luck and always remember there are three things needed for a car to run-fuel, air, and spark.
