...for a gust of air to go from the filter to leaving the car? Just curious. I thought of this and I couldn't even venture a guess how long air takes to go through everything. Anybody? :D

btw...how about that moth or fly sucked into the carb when testing it with the air cleaner off!? How long before he comes out the exhaust?

At 3,000 rpm, the crankshaft rotates 50 times per second, and it takes two revolutions in any cylinder for a full cycle, so it'll take your moth about 1/25th of a second at 3,000 rpm to go from an "intake speck" to a (fried) "exhaust speck" ;LOL
 
Intake Speck -> Exhaust Speck
