...for a gust of air to go from the filter to leaving the car? Just curious. I thought of this and I couldn't even venture a guess how long air takes to go through everything. Anybody?
At 3,000 rpm, the crankshaft rotates 50 times per second, and it takes two revolutions in any cylinder for a full cycle, so it'll take your moth about 1/25th of a second at 3,000 rpm to go from an "intake speck" to a (fried) "exhaust speck"
