Where are the RPO codes on a 1976 Stingray?? I have had the gas tank off, and there was no sticker. Are they supposed to on the tank, and maybe my tank was changed?? I've had the car for 14 years...it would seem odd to change the tank when the car was only 13 to 14 years old.

Thanks

Cam, '75-'77 Corvettes used a three year only "bladder" fuel tank. Above this fuel tank is a "safety shield" that '74 and earlier Corvettes DO NOT have. I too have taken my original '75's tank down and also found no "build sheet". Some people I have talked to say it is ON TOP of this shield, yet I have taken my fuel door & bezel assembly out along with the rubber seal at the tank inlet when my tank was out, looked with a powerful light and mirror and saw nothing---I beginning to doubt if these sheets ever came with '75-'77 Corvettes(at least on the tank) until someone that knows for sure comes forward!!!;shrug

I found the tank sticker on my '76, I don't remember the exact location ('tank' or 'shield') but did find it when I dropped the tank to replace the rubber fuel lines. I took pics and will look to see if I can find them.
