See..told you I'd be back with more questions!! :)

Ok..center console lid needs to be replaced. The "service parts identification" sticker that has the RPO codes and the paint codes on it is on the underside. I know that you can get the build sheet and the window stickers remade, based on the codes on the sticker and the VIN.

But is there anyone that makes this sticker? I have been searching online and cant seem to find anyone that does. I dont plan on changing anything on it, as I know some people may to try and make a car worth more, but I no intentions of ever getting rid of this car. Doing a few small things to make it a "keep it stock look" and looking good overall. Its the little things that count sometimes.

And as always, I welcome everyones advice and help!! Thanks!! ;)

If the door shell itself is still ok, you can get a new cover for it and just apply that to the existing door. The inside would remain "as is".

It might be possible, if you remove the door, to cut it out, plastic and all, and scan the RPO sheet to print a duplicate which you could then glue onto the new door. Other than that, I don't know where you would get one.

I changed my lid, and swapped out the "guts" of inside to transfer over - about 8 or 10 screws for the whole thing, I forget...

Easy to do :m

I believe the National Corvette Museum sells the sticker repros and maybe the RPO sheets. Check their web site.

The RPO sticker has a GM part number on it, but the chances are that the sticker is no t available. And it would be blank if you could order one. The RPO sticker was printed at the same time that all of the documents were done for the assembly line. There is also a load placard, tire pressure sticker on the driver's door that was specific to the car.

The NCM sells the Build Sheet and the window sticker. GM provided this data to the NCM and all that is needed is the vehicle VIN number. The RPO sticker with the data is not available from any GM source or from the NCM.

It is very difficult to remove the existing sticker from the uderside of the console lid as the glue on the sticker also has the ink from the printer ribbon that generated the characters so as the sticker is peeled off, the characters could be destroyed.

Keep the old lid with the sticker on it. The foam/vinyl piece could be transferred from the new lid to the old lid but the foam is glued to the metal base and all around the edges. You may be able to get an upholstery shop to swap the foam part.

I replaced my center console and I used Go Begone to remove the RPO sticker from the old one Just let it sit on it for a few minutes and pealed it off. Its some sort of a vinyl material. I even took of the sicker for the air bag the same way. I haven't put either back on yet.
