Help....

The engine check light came on, took it to dealer, the tech said, it running lean.

The Air maff sensor got replaced, still running lean. Tech said maybe too much carbon build up, he cleaned it, still same issue.

The car's been at the shop for 3 days now..

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hello c4c5,

Not sure what the code was, I would have to ask the Chevy tech. Had to do with not enough gas while engine is idle? When driving the readings are normal according to the tech.

Mods: Haltec Intake, Hurst shifter.
Monday 06/30/2003 while driving home.

The car has 5700 miles. I drive the car about 3 days a week for a total of 70 miles. No aggressive driving whatsoever.

Thanks

OK, here are the codes P0171, P0174.

The dealer replaced the mass air flow sensor, fuel filter.

The tech stated that I should drive the car
more often and longer? Not sure what benefits I would gain doing this?

Any input c4c5?

Thanks

HI there,
Well, no, that should have no bearing on your concern.
Just remember, if the Halltec is NOT installed correctly, and the air bridge is not tight, these codes will set.
This is a classic problem of a bad connection of the MAF to the air bridge.
Please keep us posted, c4c5:hb
