Question: Running too rich

Get a code reader... and a FSM, BUT to answer I would quickly suspect a O2 Sensor...

OK, check your fuel pressure-make sure it's not leaking down when the engine is off, if it is, check the pressure regulator hose for raw gas. Also dirty injectors can leak down. Check the coolant temp senser for proper resistance at temp. Google GM Coolant Temp. Senser Resistance, you find a chart. Clean the Maf senser, check for vacuum leaks, check ground wires(some are on the heads near firewall). Make sure the engine gets up to 190* because cooler running engines use more gas. Put a vacuum gauge on it, should have 17'' or more at idle w/ a smooth needle, check ign. timing & make sure it advances when you rev it.
