running with 10w-30

now thats summer is here, how many of you are using 10w-30 in
your c5's? im also thing thinking that it may hush up my piston slap issue

I run Mobil 1 10w30 year round:)
 
Oklahoma and 10w30 year round - Mobile 1.
It just doesn't get cold enough here to justify 5w30.
 
i run 0w-40 year round here in nc.....thats what the dealership back home puts in vettes they service in the summer.

But the question is would that solve piston slap, right?? Any thoughts???
 
Only run Mobil1 5W-30... I have no reason to switch to 10W, 5W is all weather year round oil... I always run what the engine specs to in all my cars.

I put 10W-30 in, at the first oil change.
 
Mobil 1 10-30 but I think I will go to 20-50 to increase oil pressure.

Stay with the 10-30. The engine is designed for 10-30 or lower. The bearing clearances are set for 30 max unless you have very high mileage and have had a mech recommend a higher viscosity.

Looks like an advise from a pro that I want to listen to. Does 100,000 miles is high mileage?
