Help! rust

1993 40th ruby red
i was under the car today,and noticed that these parts are rusted,should i treat with wd40 or looking for suggestions .please see attached 2 pics

It'll do no harm there.. Normal.

Heavy cast components.

Clean it up and hit them with some rustoleum (sp?) if it bothers you.

If you see rust in structural, steel components.. (Mainly, the Frame.. The structure of the car.) I like POR15.

They use it on boilers and such. You can cut it with about anything and spray it on.

If it can't get oxygen? It can't continue to rust.

(You'll have to google it.. I bought mine online from somewhere. I forget exactly where.)

That rust could stay that way for the next twenty years and still not be a problem. :w
 
I like POR15.
I don't. I find it overpriced and much more fragile than a good epoxy paint. Once the container is opened, it is likely done for (activated by moisture), so unless you use the entire contents, the rest is wasted.
