Man, these things look awesome. As you know, I got these headers in trade for some body work on my buddies 71. I had him get them for me in the painted version as I expected to do some custom (beating them with a hammer) fitting to make sure they cleared everything.

I was going to send them to Jet Hot for ceramic coating. However, a local shop (about an hour from here) does this kind of stuff.

They should be good for up to 1350 degrees. He cautioned me to make sure the motor is not too lean on the intial start and break in, then they should be fine.
 
Chris those look great. I have ceramic headers on the 75 and you can't beat them. They always look great , no rust, don't turn blue,,,ya cant go wrong with them.

I think the part about not leaning the carb too much is important. I ruined a set of chrome Harley drag pipes by leaning the carb too much. It turned them red (as in HOT ) and them dark blue when they cooled down. It didn't take but a few seconds to ruin them either.
