Seat Covers/ Protection

I am sure this has been asked before, but I am a little confused and also a little dens. Seems like in looking to purchase seat covers (at least whatI have always called them) some places seem to be selling the replacement seat coverings, and some offer the seat covers as protectors, now I have just confused all of you, good.

What I want is a nice, durable, seat cover/protection for my C5 sport seats with out having to fork out a crap load of change, any one out there got any straight forward help for a novice guy that just loves to drive is corvette as a daily driver.

Rather than getting whole seat covers, I put "bolster bikinis" on mine. The bolster seems to be what gets the greatest abuse (on mine anyway). These look good (IMO), protect the bolsters and give a semi two-tone appearance to the seats. I find them to be a cost effective way to protect the seats and add something to the looks. They are VERY easy to install as well.
