I have just taken my 2000 out of winter storage. I had to disconnect the battery last fall for approximately 5 minutes, then attached the "Battery Butler" to the car all winter. The battery has stayed connected ever since. Here is my problem. I have the seat set in position #1. When I pull the keys out before leaving the vehichle, the seat retracts to the full extended position, (normal). I lock the vehichle with the key fob then unlock it, also with the key fob. The seat will do one of three functions. 1-The seat will automatically position itself in position #2 when the door is unlocked. 2-The seat will stay in the extended position and start to go to position #2 when the keys are inserted. 3-The seat will stay extended until #1 is selected with the button and go to the #1 position. I think option #3 is normal. Does my key fob need to be reprogrammed or maybe need a new battery? This problem is intermittent but is really bothering me. I purchaced the car last summer, so this is the first time I have taken it out of winter storage. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like your car is interpreting your car key as key number 2 instead of key number 1 (you are using key number 1 right? just have to ask) Not quite sure what the best fix for this would be but just to see, try using key number 2 and see what happens.

JRizz,
Turn your key fob over. There should be a number on the back of the fob which corresponds which set of keys you're actually using. Ryan is correct: you may be inadvertantly using the wrong set of keys.
