I am going to repalce the seat covers and carpet in my '76. I got as far as the two rear bolts on the passenger seat, but the seat won't go back far enough to expose the front bolt. Does anybody know how to take the front bolts out? Thanks.

The seat will go back far enough, but just enough. Check to make sure there isn,t something blocking the seat: like the carpet or the seat back. I have to fold my seats-backs forward to get the track back enough.

Thanks Gary. The car has been sitting in a field for the last 10 years and the right hand window was broken in. I guess some of the glass shards had become lodged in the seat tracks, and it wouldn't go back all the way. But with a few forceful yanks it went all the way, and the bolts were under the carpet extensions. Piecew of cake. Thanks again.
