Hi

I have purchased all required from Al Knocks to restore my seats in leather on my 59 Vette.
Does anyone have any info on how the frames are assembled with springs , burlape with wire , foam ect, what goes on first and any tricks of assembly would be great.

Thank you Jose.

I just did this on my 61. Somewhat different than a 59. The only thing I can tell you is to throughly photograph the disassembly of the old covers and foam etc. I wasn't happy with one of my covers and was able to reposition it and recover it with the same cover again. Be sure to have good quality hog ring pliers, it will make the job easier. John Z recommends the Al Knock video which I didn't use but I'm sure now it would have made it easier for me. If you are using leather that would be enough reason to me to justify getting the video. Al Knock will give you a break on the video if you tell them you just bought all your materials from them. I also put a thin layer of talc or baby powder on the foam which made it easier to stretch the cover over the foam.
