Does anyone know how much C4 sport seats weigh?
Right now i am doing major weight reduction on my vette, i am trying to lose as much un noticeable weight as possible, i do not want to do a hack job. last spring my car weighed in at 3,130 lbs, since then it has lost a substantial amount of weight, i havent had a chance to weigh it again. I am looking into changing seats since mine are wore out anyway. I do not want race buckets, just a seat that is lighter than the vette seats i have now. I have been told that they weigh about 40lbs, but i am not sure how reliable the source. if that is the case then i think 20lb replacement seats is a good upgrade.

you know i was looking at the black book and noticed that the 86 weighs 3239 and the 87 weighs 3216 and the 88 weighs 3245.
So what makes the 87 weigh less? the 86 might have been weighed with iron heads but the 88 should be the same I would think.
do you have a pic of your konner vette I sure would like to see one.
There has to be someone here that know the weight of your seats, sorry I don't . the scale should work though.

good idea, I am gonna get a scale from wal-mart tonite and see and see what they weigh tomorrow. One of my friends was telling me that 93-02 camaro seats might be a little lighter, if they bolt up the same i'll proabable use them.

Better yet, i am gonna weigh myself on a bathroom scale, then weigh myself again while holding the seat.

Yeah, TOO MUCH! That's why I'm gonna go shopping for some Sparcos or something. (The one that link takes you to, only weighs 12.8 lbs. )
