Anyone have any ideas on after market seats for a C3.Read add in vette mag by speeddirect which sold corbeau seats but not for 74-75 what is the difference.
any ideas

I am also considering seats and would like to know if anybody has done the Corbeau thing from Speed Direct and if you have pics. Or have any of you done the Corbeau seats direct from the factory and how did they work?

I can tell you now that most "ALL" aftermarket" seats out there won't fit the C3's!
for some reason, most are at least 1" too wide. I've looked at many of them, including the one you want. The only ones I found that fit (and barely) are Jeg's Pro High Back Race Seats. You will have to make your own bracket as theirs SUCK.
They don't look too bad and I like them. You should add some padding like I did too.

Have you thought about c5 vette seats,i picked up a set of black ones for mine for $300 and had to fix one small spot in the leather for $50.00.Way more support and very confortable,i mounted my stock c3 retractors on them so i can move them back and forth.Id take pics but there out of the car at the moment.

I just did a search but could not find any. But there is a guy over on the CorvetteForum that had posted pics of his C3 with Fiero seats. I will see if I can find that pic as soon as they get their disk problems resolved.

Here we go, I knew that if I looked long enough I could find them. These have been redone in leather rather than the stock Fiero cloth:

Here is a before and after pic of the seat:

c-5 seats

Would like c5 seats but what about ride height. Also how hard is it to find fiero seats.

Fiero seats can be found in almost every junkyard, the c5 seats sit alittle higher if used as manual only im about 1 inch higher, which is ok for me im short.

those look really sharp, thanks for the post tom, are they as comfortable as they look?:)

Those Fiero seats look GREAT. Whoda thunk it? I am generally not in favor of modifying Corvettes but those look great, especially if you intend to drive your car a lot.

One complaint about the Fiero seats, and you would be well aware of if you have ever driven a Fiero, is that they are narrow. A lot of people's bucket will not fit :)

I love the fiero seats. How much does it cost for materials and labor to have them recovered? What year of Fiero did they come from? Fantastic look compared to stock. I want em!!;worship

i have to agree with Curtis. love the looks, and i know i can fit in the 'bucket'
hmmmm...might have some 79-82 seats for sale later

Something else about the Fiero seats is that I don't think they fold foward very far. Nothing behind the seats in a Fiero but the engine :)

Also, Fiero seats are a pretty popular swap in street rods. That and the production of Fiero was so short, it is not as easy to get a cheap pair as you might think.

If you are spending the money ($500 - $1000), you might as well go with the '78PC - '82 seats as they are a direct bolt in and will flip all the way forward. I'd bet they are just as comfortable as the Fiero ones.

My goal is to find some relatively late model seats with better support for less than $200. I have an idea of what might work, but I'm keeping it a secret until I get a pair into my car.

I just can't take the "two peices of plywood with foam" seats that I have now for much longer.

Just put at set of C4 seats in my 76. Was not hard at all. Had to do a little monster garage to get everything to fit just right.
