Seeing Double at the Drags

Donny,

I was afraid you would ask that question. Stock 327/300 with Powerglide. The 2003 did a...little better.

Ah look at the bright side, you get to enjoy the race longer than the other guy :D . Kinda like when I golf: I get to hit the ball alot more than everyone else :L

At least you got the car out there, if you come to Stanton in September we'll do our best to improve on that timeslip...it's only one country over from where you live.........

I don't think you live in Canada. But I had fun: slowest Corvette of the day in our Club event. But no shame from a boulevard cruiser from the 1960s. I did get almost a hink of burning rubber from the back. It was so subtle, it may not have happened. But with a bragging rights at these events I say yes; for 10 seconds.

Most Club cars are C4s and C5s. At that time last summer there were no C6s. I competed against them about five times. And lost miserably but had a good time. The folks with the modern cars seem to like the old, stock lining up and competing despite the outcome being entirely predictable.

I am sure Bob could do much better than me against these more modern fols.

The 2005 race dates are set if anyone else would like to attend one of these types of races:

Friday, June 10, 2005: 9 AM until 5 PM
Saturday, June 11, 2005: 8 AM until 5 PM

Kil-Kare dragway near Dayton Ohio.

Friday, September 16, 2005: 9 AM until 5 PM
Saturday, September 17, 2005: 8 AM until 5 PM

Mid Michigan Motorplex near Stanton MI

the rules for both events can be found here:

Donny-
What tires are you using , and do you know the track altitude?

The reason I ask ; is , I hold the NCCC Group I B record at 13.48 ; which is the pure stock class. The 13.48 is the altitude adjusted to sea level.

I used 235/60 BFG DR's. We have to use the same size tire on all four corners and pass an engine tear down.
I would love for you to brake this record , so I could try and lower it.

Well, it took a while, and I could not remember where this post was.... but I bettered your time

I even pulled a 1.98 60 foot time on a F70-15 Coker bias Ply :)
