Self Aligning Roller Rockers....

Do I need them for my 87?
 
Yes I think so, but to be sure look at your rocker where it contacts the valve stem. If there is a little bump on both sides then its a self alingning rocker.:w
 
Don't be too sure.... you need self-aligning rocker arms. The guideplates on the heads from the factory are NON hardened and exist solely to hold the pushrods in place during the assembly process at the factory. You can run non self-aligning rockers if you replace the guideplates with hardened units, otherwise you need to run self-aligning rockers to keep them off the guideplates.
