Selling stock rims to upgrade. need help$$

Selling stock wheels/tires. What's a good price?

Well, I have been trying to find rims in my price range which these end up being http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&category=43958
The guy is local and I am picking them up for $550. Not bad. decent upgrade from my stock saw blades.
My question is on my old wheels. What's a good rate to sell them at? They are on the stock sawblade 16's which the rims are not in that great of shape. no major chunks except for one of them, the color is faded quite a bit. probably good for spares or for restoration so I don't expect much. The tires however were new in November of 04'. They're Kumho Ecsta Supra. they have 95% tread. Would I be better off just selling the tires off and dumping the rims? or sell as a package?
What would be a good price either way?
(And of course CAC members get first shot!)

My goal here is to sell them somewhat in the same timeframe of picking up the new rims. I can cover the rims cost but am hoping the $$$ from selling my old ones covers a little of the cost of the new tires I'll have to get. (poor college kid)
Oh yah, and don't forget to pat me on the back for clearing 500 posts!

The link is no good. The wheels, and the tires for that matter aren't going to net you much. Not much call for 16's these days.

Anyway, they are z06 rims 17's. As for mine: I didn't figure I could get much for them. but There has to be a few stock c4's out there getting bald around the tires looking for something cheap. So I might throw them on Ebay or if anyone is looking. any ideas? all 4 for maybe $250?

If they're 16x9.5's (Z52) you might have a shot at selling them, otherwise you'll have a very large set of doorstops. 16 x 8.5 piepans are as common as dirt (and just as ugly IMHO). The tires you may be able to sell by themselves, but then you have to pay to get them demounted (and hope they don't tear the bead taking them off).

So the consensu is i'm f#%$@^%&*!! with these tires. well. i'll try to sell them as I get closer to buying my others. there is a local racing forum for tampa and probably a young kid will bite on em'

Definitely sell them locally and together because having them unmounted and factoring in shipping would just be a big headache.

Good luck on your sale and sweet deal on those Z06 rims! They look extremely sweet on C4's.
