Hi All
Cleaning the dash on my '92, I knocked the bubble cover off the sensor thing and broke it, not enough left to glue.
I have one of the parts list CD's off e-bay, but I can't identify it.
Anyone know where to get one, or a P/N??
What is that sensor for anyway?
Thanks
Vince

It's called a Sun Load Sensor and measures the heat generated from the sun shining inside the car. Input from the sensor is used to regulate cabin temp when the C68 system is in "AUTO" mode.

If the sensor itself has broken it will most likely cause a HVAC code to be set. You can pull the C68 HVAC codes by following these steps: http://www.idavette.net/tech/c4diag.htm Under Parameter 0, a code 04 would show up if the sensor was not working properly (or at all). The dome is simply there to protect the sensor itself.
