My 1992 lt5 service asr light comes on after the engine is running for about 3 min.If i shut the car down and switch the ign. on sometimes the light comes comes on and the engine wont start,but if the light does not come on the engine starts fine.Also when the service asr light comes on the security light and sys lights begin to flash.

Pull the codes using the the paper clip method as described here.

Accurate troubleshooting of the codes requires the correct Factory Service Manual as well as basic tools and knowledge. You can post the results here for assistance, but without the tools to do some testing most replies will be guess work.
