service engine soon light

96 ce lt1 21000 miles 10:00 am this morning outside temp 6 degrees. started car ,everything fine, warmed up about 30 seconds putin drive then service eng soon light came. seems to be running fine. Is this cold temp anaomaly or should i go looking for codes. thnks bruce

You could pull the code, then reset and see if it recurs or was a one timer.

If the light stays on, I'd take it to Autozone and have them read the code for free. If it doesn't come back on, I wouldn't worry about it.
