Hi i was wondering is there a difference between having your check engine light come or this service engine soon light if so what intails the service engine light to come on. I have an 89 vette.
Thanks Rich

thank you that was quite helpful

The problem was the temp. sensor that sends the info to the computer. The sensor was telling the car it was way below 0 and it was compensating for that and flooding itsef out. Anyway $375 later it's fixed including the tow.
Again thanks for your help

Hi the shop i am sure came across the code causing that but i never asked them.

Man, getting the code is easy, you should keep track of that in case a wire
falls off the sensor or it goes bad, if your not a mechanic thats one thing,
but knowing what wrong with your car before it enters the shop can save you a lot $$. Some of the sensors are very accessible and easy to change yourself, save the mechanic for the "tough" jobs!
