Service LPTWS came on for a couple of min. & then cleared?

Do I need to do anything re: LPTWS coming on & then clearing itself? The owners manual describes a couple of things that MAY cause this. Low speed driving & being near another LPTWS equipped car that HAS a low tire. It was not either of these. I was passing cars on the freeway @ 70 mph.

It was on for 1 to 2 minutes & cleared.

Anyone have a service manual & can check this for me?

That was probably caused by one of the sensors not reporting "in" for whatever reason. Being you are OBD II I believe you may need a scanner to check for which code may have been set. May have just been a one time thing, I hope. All you can do is wait & see if if sets again & doesn't go out.

My 95 has done that on one occasion & never returned. Knock Wood......

l was going to fix my problem with the LPTWS, but being that the previous owner changed the tires from run-flats to regular tires l decided that l would either pull the fuse or take out the bulb behind the info center.

l have a spare!

There is a way the LTPWS light can be turned off through the OBD computer by the dealer. What happens is sometime if you dont get the car over 35mph in the first 2 miles the light will come on then clear once you get up to speed.

Mine has come on then cleared because of backing it out the garage to run it durring winter storage and then pulling it back into the garage repeatedly. This is normal, but dosen't seem to be froggy's problem

I believe removing the fuse will also disable your cruise control.
