Hey gang,
I was winding up the Vette the other day and got an interesting little problem. I was doing some launchig tests :L
Engine is all warmed up. Disable the ASR. Leave the car in Drive. Run the throttle to about 2Krpm while holding the brake pedal. Let it go and then punch it. Screams the tires for a few seconds and then accelerates great. Car shifts into 2nd and screatches the tires. The SES light comes on while the engine just revs right up. Let of the gas after I hit about 70 and let it coast down. The SES goes out about a second after I let off the throttle. Car runs fine. Did smell a little rich. No other problem at all.
Only mods are the gear change to 3.54 and the K&N cold air package with the hole cut in the radiator shroud.

Any thoughts or ideas on this?

Thanks, Graham

My guess is that you simply over-ran the parameters set for the ECM and confused it momentarily.
