Gone but not forgotten
Last week I went to get my grandson for the weekend and the car ran lumpy and guzzled gas. Check the codes and had 55 - 63 and 64 looked them up in the FSM. Pulled MAP Sensor and found it had carbon closing about half of the vacuum hole opening. Also discovered that the rubber seal was worn flat on one side. Checked the electrical signals per the FSM all were OK. Put a little black sealer on the MAP to seal it.
I started the car and it started fine and the idle was better but still not perfect. The throttle response is better. I have not been able to drive the car since then but hope to next week weather permitting. My question is do the O2 sensors foul up like a plug and if so will they clear up when I get car on the road and fully up to temperature.;help
