The question I will throw out there is this, when a car hits the auction block as much as this one, what is your perception??

Feature Car
* AUCTION TIME FOR THIS LOT IS: Saturday 3:00 PM *

This is #4 of 10 Twin-Turbo Callaway Corvettes. Previous owner of this fine unique collectable was James Cameron, the director of the movie “Titanic”. Not only is this a gorgeous, wonderful driving Corvette, but is extremely fast.

Due to the limited production and the exquisite condition, this meticulous automobile will only gain in value.

Priced to sell so bid on this bargain!!!

WOW lots of nice Callaway's on the block. Does anyone have info on the cars that sold\not sold???? And the amounts sold for. The C12 hardtop....mmmmm me like

I have several thoughts actually. Some of them tie together.... some of them don't...

1. Something is wrong with the car.
2. If its the same person trying to sell the car everytime, he/she wants more $$$ than the market will bear.
3. Someone bought on speculation, thinking they got a deal, and are now trying to sell the car to make money and the car isn't reselling.
4. They are hoping Mr Barry sees it and adds it to his collection :L

Surf, I do know the car was owned by a private owner in the spring of 2004

It was sold to a collector at some point in time, maybe last Jan. in Orlando? and then that owner sold it in June at the Bloomington Gold Auction.

Aside from tacky dash laminates and screens that were reviewed for "potential removal" but decided not to because they were bonded in some way to the car, no issues seemed evident. I was in the car last June when the porter could not get it into reverse, nor set the e-brake (after the auction)

I do think the car needs a good home - Any takers??? :v

SOLD - for $102k

A bargain and a half in my book! :eek

Some cars seem to bring more at Mecum than at Barrett-Jackson, some don't :ugh

I would have thought that after the hype of last weeks auction and the determination to make a profit (based upon multiple e-bay sightings) the car would have brought more.

I had my auction pass ready to go but never made it across town from the NCRS WInter Meet to the auction to see it go -

If my memory serves me correct, the e bay bidding actually went higher :confused

This one has gone across the block more then its fair share. Is no one owning this thing long enough to enjoy it? If I had the money I would love to have this one in the stable and keep it a long time to pamper as well as romp on from time to time of course.

...seems to be a lot of horse trading going on with the car - dealers keep "buying it" and flipping the car at auctions :ugh

It has been auctioned in about a doz. venues over the past 2 years - 7 tiimes at Mecum + others.

What do you think about its value??

How many times do you think you see CALLOWAY instead of CALLAWAY?

Kind of like CAMERO and CAMARO!?!?!

*chuckles* My wife still spells it like Camero. Sorry, just thought I would mention that. Still makes me laugh.

If I win the $365,000,000 this weekend, this car will no longer be flipped.

It will find a home in my dream garage along side my stable of other fantasy cars (all Corvettes of course). ;)
