I am trying to locate a fabricator who can make the shark as a replacement for the cross flags emblem. Anyone have any ideas? Always loved the looks of the mako shark and love the side emblem. Any help would be appreciated.

I actually know someone that can make what you want but I honestly don't think any of us can afford what he would ask for the price........

i know he made a set of custom fender emblems for someone else but afterwards he said it was so much work he wouldn't do it again. They came out spectacular though. The person whose car they are one was converted to a BB502 andthe emblems look EXACTLY like the factory stock "427" emblems except they say "502"

Try here he may be able to make something for you . I have a set of his "hoochie coochie" emblems for my Old Yellow Truck they are cast out of lead so it is a low volume job. Time will tell how they hold up I haven't finished the truck yet

Thanks guys...Appreciate the replies..

Barry...Who is this person who can make this mold?

BOSSVETTE..appreciate the link. The Rat Rod store looks neat. I'll give them a call as well.

Try the Corvette mags. There is a company making a stingray emblem (about $125/pair) and I recently purchased a plastic and chromed shark from these guys.

Have you tryed a trophy shop yet? It would seem they are able to mold you anything you want and mount it on a trophy, and with the "Sharks" in just about every citys little league hockey association....you might just get lucky enough to find the right "old timer" who has the tools and the know how to do it.If not the shop itself, maybe the owner of it could steer you in the right direction.

Thanks Chas...A good idea.......and i may pursue that if the costs are too high...read below....

Morning All..I located a company that will be giving me a quote today to produce a replica of the "1965 prototype Mako Shark ll "shark Emblem". Depending upon costs, wondering if anyone might possibly be interested in purchasing...That will determine If i have them made.

Thanks..

Morning Guys....The quote came back from the fabricator/jewler as expected. Cost would be $85.00 per set/pair. Please let me know if anyone is interested as this will dictate if i move forward with the project.

Thanks,

Andy :)

Before you get too heavily invested with the project, check with GM licensing to ensure they do not have the Shark emblem licensed.
