try saying that 3x fast. hi guys, just had a question on the shift shaft seal type i'll need on a '88 4+3 tranny. i noticed some fluid leaking in this area and figured the seals to be worn. the car does have 104k on the clock. the guy at the parts store said these seals came in two types, a Borg Warner T-10 or a Saganof. Apparently, there are two diameter sizes and I just don't have the time right now to swing under the car to get a measurement. I think I read somewhere the '88 4+3 was a Borg Warner setup. Is this correct? Thanks for any help.:w

It is the Borg Warner Super T-10 four-speed transmission that was used up until the introduction of the ZF six-speed in '89. It had a Doug Nash-sourced overdrive tacked on behind it.

thanks for the quick reply Ken! Borg Warner it is then. great forum and happy to be here. hasta la vista. :v
