Runs Like A Scalded Cat LT4 CE
'96 LT4 with Bilstein shocks (not adjustable suspension). Probably going to be replacing control arms soon and may as well take care of the shocks while we're there. Do you stick with the Bilsteins or any other suggestions? Not a racer.

Bilsteins. The stock shock is great in my opinion, good ride and performance. I replaced mine with new since the rebuild was about the same. You may have to wait since there have been delays in stock in the past.

Hi,
I changed from original to Koni Sport shocks. You can change the firmness with a knob on the top. My car changed from "Caprice feeling" to a sport car!!!!!!!!

I decreased the firmness about 20% on my Koni shocks (1/2 turn)

And how do you adjust the rears?

Shock Collar

Bilstein B46-2053 front, 2054 rear. Non Z51. This replaced stock Bilstein after 44k, Wow! Numerous beneficial results.

I don't scrape on the driveway anymore too!

Simple
Just jack the rear, take away the rear wheels and unmount the 2 upper and 1 lower bolts for the shocks. Then you can put the knob on and do your adjustments on the shock. It takes about 20 minutes to do both rear shock.

I have found my favorite settings on the shocks: 1 turn on the knob from the softest position.

More Info.

Tlong,

Expand - how do those differ from the stock ones. Certainly there will be an improvement from 7 yr old shocks. I know I've looked before but what is the stock Bilstein choice/part numbers and how do these differ in performance (for the standard suspension setup - non Z and non 3 way adjustable). And I too scrape a little getting out of the drive.
