Question: shock help

i need to put shocks on my 81 vette. i drive it every day in michigan. [rough roads] i was thinking delco replacements or monroe. anybody have any good advise. also, under the 4 middle retainers for my t-tops, are 4 black plastic covers. shape something like a triangle. i need one of those too. can anybody help me?

Even though I haven't installed them yet, I got a set of KYB shocks from tirerack.com. If you do a search on this forum, you will find that KYB shocks are both a less expensive option, but also they are a recomended option. As for your plastic covers, try reaching out to justcorvettes.com (1800 886 8388). Justcorvettes is a corvette only salvage yard.

If your car is stock and a daily driver just get some new shocks from your favorite auto parts store and save the shipping.

Delcos or Monroes are fine for a daily driver.
