Hi Everyone,

Does someone out there own a shop manual for your vette? I have an '88 and I would like to try doing more of my own work.

It appears that a shop manual is about $130. Is it really helpful?

Yes, I do, in addition to anything else related to my generation Corvette.

Yes again. Money invested in the correct manuals and associated literature is never money mis-spent. They'll save you labor costs as well as parts costs if you can do the job yourself, and manuals can always help you accomplish that.

My humble opinion.

Check out e-Bay. There are a lot of them. Make sure it's the correct year and not a CD copy (unless that's what you want). Some years have a single volume preliminary book. Most years follow on with a two volume set. Ask if in doubt. The used ones in really good condition are 1/2 -2/3 full price. CD versions can be had for $25

I bought one from Helm in Detriot )I think) and I find it invaluable. Everything you want to know (almost) about your car is in there. A must if you want to do your own work.
