Can anyone suggest a good manual for doing maintenance at home? I have a 76 L-82 and want be able to do general repair, e.g. remove blower motor to lubricate. I would appreciate any advice you may have.

Thanks!

Chris

The Factory Service Manual. They are expensive new, but you can usualy find good used ones on EBay at a good price. Don't even try to use the Haynes or Chilton. They are too generic being made for ALL C3s.

Exactly what tom said.

The 1976 Supplement also covers the Camaro, Nova...and others. Is this what I need, and do I need the main 1974 manual too? What is a good guide for proper sticker/decal placement for the engine?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I have the '78 Service manual as well and it is great. Mine covers Camaro, Nova, etc. That is fine. You'll just have to make sure you are looking at procedures/pictures related to the Y-body (Corvettes). It's no big deal. Definitely a great investment.

I do not know if I need to buy the 74 manual, or just the 76 supplement? Any help?
