Next week I want to look for an orginal radio and a teak wheel for my 67.

What should I look for in wheels. How can I tell the real thing from a repop? Any particular dealer anyone likes?

Same question for radios, any good dealers as I can't try it before I buy it.

1966 was the last year for real "teak" wood steering wheels. You need a 67 plastic "simulated wood" wheel to be correct. These are less expensive but climbing in price. I paid $225 at last years Carlisle for a real nice one (no chips/scratches in the plastic). If you want a real wood wheel regardless of originality then most of the repops have evolved into nice examples & will be present at Carlisle for comparison. I see them on eBay for $425+
Nice original 63-66 woods are advertising @ $1200-$1500, but selling around $800-$1000.

Several (at least 3) radio dealers will have restored and operating 63-67 radios for your inspection. Shop them all, look for show specials and then pit them against each on price matching. Its the American way.
