Hello CAC Friends,
Well here we find ourselves on the eve of the eve of Christmas. Wanted to take the time and thank all of you who have shared all my trials and tribulations the past year on the 63 Restro Project. It seems like its been forever and the cost is staggering, but in the end I have a beautiful 1963 Coupe sleeping (hibernating) in the garage next to the equally beautiful 2002 Electron Blue Vert, also fast asleep. All of you in some way contributed to help me go on. From the first time I posted about the engine rebuild (2 years ago) through the past year's updates on the frame off restro, many of you provided me the words of encouragement to continue on, even after the many pitfalls and troubles that seemed to happen. Many times I logged on to start to write something and couldn't because of was so discouraged about either another problem or something else that needed to be done. Many of the more experienced folks managed to share their own restro experiences and some were much worse then mine. But I guess most of all the CAC is just a place to come and talk to people with the same interests, and see how every one of us are proud of our Corvettes, no matter if its a driver or a Bloomie Gold car, we all seem to just get along and help each other. I received many emails from some of you that were truely interested in my progress when I did not post for a few weeks and wanted to know what was going on...most time it was because I was on travel for the Dept. of Homeland Security, and just didn't work on the car, but just the thought that people were interested enough to drop me a line, well that's what this board is all about.
So to all on the board, my wife and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy (and high milage without a breakdown) New Year.....
