Should I buy this Z06???

A friend of a friend has an 04 BLK/BLK Z06 with 25 miles on it!!!memory,electro mirrors,bsm's I can get it for 41.5K is it worth it? I have only had 1 black car before and I worry about the upkeep.It will only be used as a w/e and short trip car,shows and I dont mind waxing soooo. let me know good and bad...Thanks in advance...Kevin
PS Iam also looking at a couple of forum members 03 low mile MY Z06's too.

I'd jump on it if I were looking for a Z06. Heck, I wouldn't worry about it being black, black is very nice....VERY nice. You're gonna be washing it once a week no matter what the color. Good luck and let us know what you do. -John

By the way, I'd only pay that kind of $$ for a 2004 because it's still virtually brand new, and you know nobody beat it up. And the fact that you want a z06.

Price seems high for the mileage. Saw an '02 with 10 k mi for 32k on other forum. Back in '04 they were heavily discounted, I saw some then at a car show (at a dealer) for $45 k asking. Wait, is that 25 k or 25 miles???!!

It was 25 miles. It's a brand new car IF it only has 25 miles on it.
If the milage was 25k, no way would I pay that kind of $$. I hope he lets us know what his final decision was.

But if l was going to spend that kind of money l would rather buy a C6 even though the Z-06 is still a little faster.

Except for the C6's nose, l would tend to lean that way. Once you put on some miles the value will drop down to the mid 30,s for sure, but the C6 will still hold it's value.

Or l would pick up a used Z-06 with some miles for the low 30's. Don't think about today but project to at least next year.

Also a car that sat around for a couple of years can be a concern also, but l am not qualified to dive into that.

What ever you do good luck and l'm sure you will make the right decision.
